I am a parent, professional, and wife, married to my wonderful husband for 42 years. We have three sons — one graduated from Mentor Schools and the other two from Chardon Local Schools. Each of my children is unique, but they share one thing in common: learning disabilities. My oldest has ADD, my middle son has ADHD, and my youngest has ADD, dysgraphia, and dyslexia.
The special education services our schools provided were key to their success. I am deeply grateful for the dedicated specialists who helped my children reach their potential. Today, all three of my sons are successful, independent, and two are married — proof that with the right support, every child can thrive.
My experience as a parent navigating the school system has been invaluable, and it drives my belief that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed and become a happy, healthy, and productive citizen. I am committed to bringing that perspective to the Chardon School Board to help ensure all students have the resources and opportunities they need to reach their fullest potential.

I believe school boards are tasked with one of the greatest responsibilities: managing the education of their communities and setting standards and practices designed to help students succeed academically. As a school board member I would take on this task, work collaboratively with fellow board members to ensure the needs of both the district and community are met.
